Experts in Comparison Shopping often seem to use a language of their own. The purpose of this blog is to translate the basics of Comparison Shopping into readable, understandable English for consumers and merchants.

Part 5: Consistency Equals Long-term Comparison Shopping Success
Here’s what you don’t want to happen with your campaigns:
You pay manually to the CSE’s and you forget to deposit additional funds into your account before it runs out.
OR
Your campaigns reach a personal spend cap before the end of the month.
These scenarios cause your campaigns to go offline.
Why this is terrible:
Consistency on CSE’s is a major part of the algorithm that determines where your products show up from consumer searches. If your campaigns shut down and start up your traffic will drop significantly.
In essence CSE’s want reliable companies and products on their web sites. If you’re a reliable merchant, the CSE will bring you reliable traffic.
This blog post is part of a series I’m writing on the basics of Comparison Shopping.
Next time I’ll post an important tips for merchants to optimize their product bids on Comparison Shopping campaigns.
